Marine project management and marine operations assurance
Marine operations sit at the boundary between the project and the sea. We manage that boundary: vessels, procedures, weather, interfaces and the people on the bridge on the day.
What we deliver
Marine project management
Management of the marine scope from concept through execution: vessel specification and selection, contracting support, schedule and interface control with the wider project.
Procedures, HAZID and HAZOP
Drafting or review of marine operations procedures, weather criteria and limiting conditions. Facilitation of HAZID and HAZOP for tow, lift, mooring and connection operations.
Marine warranty liaison
Preparation of documentation for the marine warranty surveyor and management of their comments to close-out, so approvals arrive when the schedule needs them.
Marine representation
A senior marine representative on site for the operation, with a clear brief, the owner’s authority and the experience to use it.
When to involve us
At concept select, when vessel type and installation method are still open. Decisions made then set the marine risk profile for the whole project. We are also engaged for individual operations at short notice when a project team needs a marine representative it can trust.
Typical engagement: part-time through engineering, full-time through the offshore campaign.
