Independent assurance across
the life of a floating unit.
For owners, operators and lessors with a floating unit in build, on tow or about to connect: topsides and production systems readiness, owner’s and client representation in the yard and offshore, and hook-up and connection assurance. Delivered by the partners who sign the report, from Oslo, Norway and Houston, Texas.
What we do
From the yard to the last offloading.
Three practices covering the life of a floating unit. Each is led by a partner who has done the work, not only reviewed it.
Production systems and newbuild
Topsides, production systems and owner’s representation while the unit is being built.
Installation and marine operations
Planning, warranty and on-site representation for tow, hook-up and connection.
Marine systems, inspection and offtake
The vessel and the systems that keep a unit on station and producing, and the inspection and governance that sit over them.
- Marine systems, offloading and turret operations
- Vessel inspection, vetting and audit programmes
- Management systems and governing documentation
- Vessel suitability and condition surveys
- Dynamic positioning: FMEA, trials, capability analysis and audits
- Asset valuation, condition and pre-purchase inspection

Where we operate
Where we operate.
Vardline operates wherever floating units are built, installed and run. The partners have worked in most oil-producing countries on every continent. Copper marks the floating production regions we are active in now and through the 2027 to 2031 development window; navy marks the wider offshore and vessel markets we serve.

Every engagement is led by a partner, and every report is signed by one. Assurance is a judgement, and the client should know whose judgement it is.
Vardline holds no ownership interest in yards, contractors or vessel owners, and takes no related-party revenue.
Each engagement is delivered by a team assembled for the scope from marine specialists, engineers and surveyors we have worked with directly, and the assigned team is named to the client before mobilisation. Clients get the people the scope needs, rather than the people who happen to be available.
