Owner’s site team and building supervision

A yard builds to the contract. Somebody has to hold the line on the intent behind it. We put experienced marine and production people into the yard, reporting to the owner, from steel cutting to sail-away.

What we deliver

Site team leadership

A partner or senior associate as site team lead or marine and production lead, integrated with the owner’s project management team and accountable for the site team’s findings.

Construction and conversion surveillance

Witnessing of hull, marine systems, topsides integration and commissioning against the specification, class requirements and the owner’s operating intent.

Commissioning and pre-commissioning

Review of the commissioning plan and procedures. Witnessing of mechanical completion, function testing and system hand-over. Carry-over control.

Knowledge transfer

The people who watched the unit being built go with it to the field, or hand over to those who will. Nothing learnt in the yard is left in the yard.

When to involve us

From contract award, or as early as the owner is able. A site team that arrives at 60 per cent completion inherits every earlier decision. If the team is already in place, we can supplement it with specific marine or production competence for the phases that need it.

Typical engagement: continuous presence at the yard for the duration of the build, scaled up through commissioning and sail-away.
