Marine systems, inspection and offtake
Vessel inspection, vetting and audit programmes
A vetting procedure is only as good as the operation it was written against. We have written procedures adopted by major operators, and run the operations they govern.
What we deliver
Vetting and acceptance procedures
The criteria an operator applies before accepting a vessel or a contractor onto a project: what is checked, by whom, against what standard, and what closes a finding.
Audit programmes
Audit regimes built from scratch or rebuilt: scope, frequency, auditor competence, finding categories, and the route by which a finding actually changes something.
Independent audit
Audits carried out against IMCA guidance, class notation and the company’s own standards, including DP operations, operator competence and the DP operations manual.
Vessel inspection
Inspection to IMCA eCMID by an accredited vessel inspector, and gap analysis against the standard the charterer intends to apply.
When to involve us
Before a campaign that will put contracted vessels alongside your asset, when an existing vetting regime is producing findings nobody acts on, or when a charterer wants an independent view of a vessel before fixing.
Typical engagement: a procedure set and audit programme delivered once, or a rolling audit arrangement across a fleet.
Contact
If you have a unit in build, on tow or about to connect, we would like to hear about it.
A partner will reply, usually within one working day.
